When you Book a Fishing Charter with Captain Bates, you are booking an experience tailored to your fishing story. Our Large Fishing Charter Boat provides our clients with a clean, comfortable, safe space to relax while on an Inshore Fishing Charter or Nearshore Fishing Charter. All equipment is top of the line, rerigged every trip, and tailored to optimize your fishing experience. For our fishing charter trips, we target a variety of saltwater species. Depending on the season we will fish for Trophy Red Drum, False Albacore, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Redfish, Bluefish, Bass, Mackerel, or Shark. We will customize your fishing charter to the experience and desires of your group. Our expert captain specializes in teaching all ages and abilities the best fishing techniques for your target fish. Half Day Trip - Inshore (Morning)

From throwing topwater to slow fishing light jigs, or casting flies, feeling that thump and setting the hook on your next trophy is what its all about! Top of the line gear is provided.
Full Day Trip - Nearshore
Nearshore ocean fishing for Spanish mackerel, King Mackerel, False Albacore, Chopper bluefish, flounder and more!. We will target these species by fly-fishing, light-tackle casting, trolling, and jigging.
Full Day Trip - Trophy Drum
Spend the day fishing The Pamlico Sound and surrounding rivers targeting citation size adult red drum. North Carolina boasts the largest trophy adult red drum in the world! NC holds the world record for red drum. Fishing techniques include Popping cork, artificial lures, and fly fishing.
3/4 Day Trip - Nearshore
Nearshore ocean fishing for Spanish mackerel, King Mackerel, False Albacore, Chopper bluefish, flounder and more!. We will target these species by fly-fishing, light-tackle casting, trolling, jigging.
Evening Trip - Shark
Enjoy an exciting evening of shark fishing for Blacktips, Sharpnose, and Spinner Sharks!
